New carpets - local shop or national chain?

    The local shop, they will probably start off at a higher price but you should be able to negotiate with them, as far as I was concerned Carpetright didn't seem to care whether they got my custom or not even though the number of staff far outweighed the one customer in the shop, I have to wonder how long they will carry on?

    If possible when ordering obtain a sample of the quality of carpet. Many are made in 3-4 qualities and it's nice to know you haven't ended up with a cheaper version!!
