Moving House and Brit Gas Homecare

We've had the Homecare 200 package since we bought this house and had to have the boiler replaced when it died the January after we moved in.

We are told the boiler in the house we are going to (about 14 years old and the original boiler) has been serviced each year by a local heating engineer. If we transfer the Homecare agreement I've a nasty fear they may condemn the boiler and we'll HAVE to get a new one there and then.

We have plans for changes, including changing the kitchen and the position of the boiler, so a question:

If the BG engineer decides it can't be accepted (I assume that's how it works) for Homecare, does that mean he has actually condemned it, or just decided it can't be accepted into the scheme, leaving us free to use the independent engineer?

And if this is in the wrong section, could admin move it please?
