Is it safe to send my credit report to EE?

I've been attempting to switch to a pay monthly plan from PAYG with EE and have failed three times now.
The first two were actually due to a stupid misunderstanding: I got a call from their outsourced credit checking company based in India (which I didn't know at the time) who started the call by saying "I understand you are looking to take out a T-mobile contract...".
Since I wanted an EE contract, I replied "no, I applied for an EE contract" and so they reply "ok, I'll decline this application then and you'll have to reapply". It's only after the 2nd time I found out they were in fact talking about my EE contract (they just refer to the company as T-mobile) and so when I tried the third time, their systems automatically declined my credit check.
I told EE customer services I wanted to appeal their decision. She told me to send an email to "credit.operations@tmobile.co.uk" stating my wish to appeal their credit check decision and attach my credit report.
Is it safe to send my credit report to a third party? As it seems to contain all the information necessary to steal my identity, I'm quite nervous about doing so. I suppose the only alternative is to wait several months and try applying again...

Bizarre - there should be no need - EE are able to view the information they need to make their credit decision via the Credit Reference Agency they use... why would you sending them a version of it help??
Did they really ask for your credit report or could there be a misunderstanding?0 -
I'd presume that the information they see when carrying out a credit check is not the complete file, hence why they are requesting a copy of your credit report.
Depends how much you want the contract, you could wait a couple of months and try again, of course.0 -

EE themselves only carry out a quick credit check using a debit card, the more in depth check (when you are called by a outsourced company based in India) isn't done by EE staff is seems. So perhaps writing to that email address gets an EE employee to review your credit. In any case this was told to me by the customer service employee and it may be complete rubbish what she asked me to do.
I'll try and just email that address explaining my situation and if they reply back requesting my credit report, then I'll send it. Otherwise I'll just sit tight for a couple of months before trying again...0 -
Quick update: I received a letter from the credit referral team at EE and they've accepted my application! Had pretty much given up at this point so was quite chuffed they've actually acted on my request.0
