Sure I read somewhere that the fine for selling without a pack was £200 - not really encouraging people to pay over £300 are they?0
-
its 200 PER DAY. ( or certainly was.)
I work in the industry and to say that the whole episode is a shambles is probably the biggest understatement ever. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

I beleive that it isn't actually £200(fine) per day, but you can be prosecuted more than once, which could be daily I suppose, but I doubt that you will be.Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0

£99 is still expensive when you don't actually need one!
(yet, apparantly)Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I thought you were now allowed to delay getting a HIP until you agree a sale and even then the vendor and purchaser could agree to waive the requirement even on 4 bed places. I noticed that the LMS offer a refund on the reduced fees if packs don't happen - presumably they won't honour this pledge if they've gone into liquidation - highly likely if packs don't happen. What a mess.0

Maybe this will interest everyone.
If you have to get a HIP, why not get it on the cheap. Have a look at this and see what you think:

The whole thing is a complete shambles. I pity the poor people who trained as inspectors.0

As usual you can trust a journalist to put their own spin on the facts to make a story out of nothing.
The LMS £99+VAT pack is a pre-launch offer for the period that you *don't* need to buy a pack - it's a promotion designed to heighten awareness and improve their market share of agencies subscribing to their HIPS service. After 1 August, their price will go back to the standard rate of roughly £299+VAT.
And there is no prospect of LMS going into liquidation whatever happens to HIPS - they are one of the biggest networks of legal and surveying services to the industry and have been servicing the biggest lenders like Nationwide and Abbey for years.0
