app incompatible can I view website instead

There are a few apps that are incompatible with my android device (message appears when I try to download from Google play).

I seem to remember reading somewhere that there is a way of viewing the actual website through your browser (in this case Google chrome) if you can't get the app to work. is this right? If so, then how is it done, because when I try to look at the website it just defaults to the app download screen. Thanks.

You should just be able to browse the website, but i guess that kinda depends on what the website is! Normally there is a don't download the app button somewhere.

You could change you browser UI mode to desktop and that should hopefully override it.

Unless said website(s) uses Flash in which case you have another challenge to surmount on an Android device.

That was going to be my next question. How do I install flash on an android device?

You have to side load it, after changing the device setting to allow unsigned APKs to be installed.

Google it - loads of info on getting Flash on an Android 4.1+ device. (Jelly Bean and later. I think Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 supports Flash). You'd also need to use a browser that supports flash on Android, like Firefox etc. (Some people suggest Dolphin browser).
