Hi all. I have a classic rebuild your credit capital one card. Does anyone know if I could transfer this to a better card? I have less than 300.00 debt on this card thanks

Hi
Its impossible to say whether you may be able to get a better credit card now (not least because you haven't actually said anything about your finances and credit file, how long you have had this card for etc).
You could look at the MSE eligibility checkers to get a guide as to what you may be accepted for.
What kind of card were you hoping to get?
A cheaper standard APR?
A promo deal on a balance transfer to move across your small existing debt?
A card that offers cashback/rewards for spending.
Or you could telephone capital one and ask if they would upgrade your card/account to another card they offer.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
I've had the card over 3 years always pay more than the required amount but have a poor credit file, late payments on catalogues and a ccj. This card is the one thing I take care with but I could do with a quicker solution to pay it off now and stop using it. Thank0

So you could look to see if you may be accepted for any cards with a balance transfer offer - eligibility checker on this link http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/credit-cards/balance-transfer-credit-cards
But you may well find your chance of acceptance is low for anything except the capital one card, which would be no good to you (you cannot balance transfer from an existing capital 1 card to a new capital one card).
Have you stopped using the card for new purchases altogether now? What APR is your current card? How much can you afford to repay off the card a month?A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
