MSE sky code deal not correct!!!

HI Guys, this is my first post on the forum.

I have to write this as I am a little disappointed in MSE not giving us the full details of the recent “SKY CODE” deal (£12.50 line rental/unlimited broadband/telephone) deal which I signed up for.

Yesterday I received my letter of confirmation from sky that my broadband will be up and running soon etc.

The cover letter detail the price I would be paying (without the code discount showing) however further down the page was this:
“If you take Sky broadband unlimited without sky TV an additional £2.50 monthly charge applies for this”

Later on in the day BBC watchdog also ran this story.

To be honest I am outraged by this. I imagine it was in the small print of the terms and conditions before I signed, but I would have thought that this would have been pointed out and calculated in the MSE deal.

Why was this over looked and the deal not looked into properly before publishing the codes?

I am waiting for sky’s contact centre to open this morning so I can cancel.

    £15 line rental + £10 broadband without a TV package = £25

The offer was 50% off so £12.50 which is what you would be paying. It wasn't going to be £12.50 + £2.50 as far as I can make out.

Yes there is a £2.50 discount for having a Sky TV package and the broadband, however it was made clear in the offer that if you wanted TV as well, you wouldn't be eligible for this offer.

If it was a good deal for you yesterday, hopefully you or the Sky rep you spoke to worked this out before you got round to cancelling and missed out.

How did you signup, was it online? Your order summary would clearly of told you Sky's £2.50 surcharge for "not having Sky TV".

Albeit I don't agree with it, they do make it VERY clear..
