Anyone bought a car from trade-sales?

Re PX, the salesman was blunt in advising us to sell private. He said that they would offer bottom book prices.0

Try Cargiant too.
Don't bother with auctions, unless you know exactly what you're doing.
Cargiant, trade sales etc will buy cars from the auction and put a couple of hundered onto the price, advantage is you have lots of backup if anything goes wrong.0 -
You can buy from British Car auctions, but you dont have to go through the auction and you can also buy a warranty. So if you know what car you are looking for, you ring them up and they will tell you if they have it and who is selling it and all the other details and how much they want.0

I got my current car from Trade Sales and my previous one from Motorpoint, delivery mileage only and I was happy with both cars and dealers.0

Thanks for the comments everyone! Very useful !!!
Has anyone part-exchanged their car when doing a deal there at all?
Do they offer a decent amount does anyone know? Or is it best to just do the whole cash thing?
Thanks!....YOU LEARN SOMETHING NEW EVERY DAY....
