Anyone bought a car from trade-sales?

Hi, I'm thinking of buying a car from Trade-sales as they seem to offer really good prices.
Does anyone know whether they will barter at all on their prices or are they already at rock bottom and therefore non-negotiable?

anyone already bought from there? How was the service etc?

thanks everyone!

My son recently bought a Honda Civic from them. He paid a visit to local Honda dealers first and then went up to trade-sales in Slough. He paid nearly £2500 less at TS than he would have paid to a local dealer!

1, Trade-Sales would NOT budge on price.
2, they insisted that he had (and paid for, £300 I think) a warranty for 12 months.
3, they try to sell you extras ie Insurance. Part of the deal is that you must have a quote from the "In house" broker.

Overall, if you see a car you like, it can be a good way of saving money.

Best of luck with your hunt for a car.

Have you tried Honest John (https://www.honestjohn.co.uk) its a good source of all the latest deals and has details of all the brokers deals (where you actually buy from a franchised dealer) e.g.

    http://www.drivethedeal.co.uk/
    http://www.dealdrivers.co.uk/

You could then try getting your local dealer to beat the deal - if you time it at the year end or quarter end when bonuses are due, you will often get them to match or beat it. I managed to do this on my BMW - got 15% off list.

Michael, by the look of your post you are thinking of new cars. (I could be wrong)
    Trade-Sales are mostly used cars.

Sorry, I should have looked at the sites before I posted!

If you try British Car Auctions, they have certain lots that come from Lex autolease/black horse finance etc.

These cars have been regularly serviced and leased to companies as company cars. They come with full service history and spare (red) keys. They are also all HPI checked.

DH and I have bought 2 gorgeous cars from auction (both from LEX) and sved a fortune compared to garage prices. :money:

Did you buy online or by actually going to an auction?

Thanks for the comments everyone! Very useful !!!
Has anyone part-exchanged their car when doing a deal there at all?
Do they offer a decent amount does anyone know? Or is it best to just do the whole cash thing?
    Thanks!
