Thinking of applying for this to rebuild credit.
What do you think about this card. is it worth it?

It's a suitable option.0

I've had one for about 12 months and I like it. I went BK Jan 2011 so I got it for credit rebuilding (and was very surprised to be accepted - I only tried the MSE 'soft search' facility on a whim).
I had an initial 5 months interest free spending which I used carefully and left a balance to run on it until the end of the introductory period when I then paid it off in full to avoid interest. The initial limit was £400 but they increased it to £800 after about 6 months.
Some of the other 'credit rebuilding' cards have horrible fees so I avoided them completely.0 -
BarclayCard can sometimes be quite picky with who they deem to have 'bad credit but good enough for us'. If you've got defaults, I doubt they'll let you on. You'd have to go for a Vanquis or Aqua card.Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.
ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.0 -
Also they don't always make it easy to see that if you have more than 1 CCJ then they will not grant you one. This is a stipulation in there eligibility list. Even though there elegibility checker does not seem to take this list into account and tells you you have an excellent chance.

The eligibility checker does a soft search though, so it wont know you have a CCJ until you click on the apply now button after populating all your details.
But the sensible part of me says that if I had a CCJ I wouldn't be applying for a credit card anyway, regardless what they say they may or may not consider - but again, as I said in a previous thread, that's just me.0 -
Personally I think it's the best of the 'bad credit' cards, if you don't get it give Capital One a shot
Fed up of final demands, whining relatives and Debtors' Prison?

When I last ran the eligibility check it said I'm not eligible, which it has always said. Straight after I did the check I applied for Capital One Progress who gave me a £1,500 limit at 29.9% so was better off anyway!0

It's been fine for me and they have just let me upgrade this to the new Cashback card.0
