Sickness & redundancy

Hi, my wife has an ongoing sickness with a leg injury, 7 ops over 4 years to date. Her employer has been very understanding and she has continued to work, using crutches. Now redundancies have been announced there is a chance that she could be in a pool. She would probably stand no chance of another employer taking her on at the moment due to her disability. Does this have any bearing on how she is treated regarding redundancy.

Unfortunately I don't think this would come into it at all. It is the position which is made redundant and not the person.0
