thanks for that our local chippy is on the list

It is not the first time our local has done this and last year we had fish and chips for a £1.00 and we thought we would give it a try

when we got to the chippy it was a 90 minute wait to buy three portions of fish and chips the queue was massive and the poor staff were rushed off their feet, the two people frying just couldn't keep up with demand

enjoy your 99p fish and chips but expect a long wait

Similar scene at Catch in Ashford, Kent.

Waited around 30 mins for my 99p Fish & Chips, which was very tasty.

All credit to the staff who were working very hard to meet the demand. (Around 100 people in the shop at 5:30pm).
