My window was open and I overheard the 'spiel' an SEM rep gave my next door neighbour.
Pretty much everything that came out of his mouth was garbage. It was obvious he had been told what to say and had no actual knowledge on the subject.
Then he came and knocked on my door, despite the fact that my panels are on the front side of my roof :doh: :wall: :doh:

Just had three calls from SEM on two separate numbers. Got a bit shirty on the second call and told the guy I am signed to the TPS. He replied this was not a sales call but a free scheme. I questioned his parentage and hung up. Then phoned by a delightful young lady who launched into a string of invective including telling me to F*** off four times. When I commented that I assumed she didn't want to give me her name she gave a suitably inventive reply which actually described her rather well. If anyone has a telephone number or address for this shambles please let me know as I would like to pay them a visit.

Thanks, I've just reported SEM, Colchester. I only answered it as the number came up as PRIVATE and I'm expecting important calls regarding work. All recognised spam numbers, out of area numbers and 08** numbers go unanswered and the phone goes off the hook at bedtime. These people are a pain in the wotsits!

Had the same over the past few days. First time they called 6 times, the following day at least 3 , then a few times the next few days and twice yesterday, and where extremely abusive to my wife.

The number only comes up as WITHHELD on my phones, they won't give out their number or address.

Anyone got their contact details. They need to be closed down.

A slight digression. We were getting a lot of unsolicited marketing calls even though our number is listed with TPS. I have a DECT base station with 5 answering machines and call divert. I have been able to configure it such that all Unknown and Withheld numbers are immediately diverted to an answerphone - the phone doesn't even ring. Unsolicited callers do not normally leave a message!

Hi All, I too have literally just received a pushy sales call from SEM in Colchester.

Sales rep (I unfortunately forgot his name) talked at me for nearly 15 - 20mins. He was trying to send over an assement person to check suitability of our property for solar panels etc for this afternoon when I said today was not good he suggested this evening. Unfortunately I am not in the game for having cold callers call me and then send someone round to my property. I said that before I had any visitor / assessor come to my property I wanted to investigate the scheme he was offering and who they were as a business, at that point he became very vocal on what I was going to achieve by investigating them on the internet. He failed to understand that I was not willing to have a complete stranger come to my house poke around without me investigating who they were. I eventually said I was going to end this call now as he was getting more and more pushy, had he emailed me the info I wanted I would have quite happily called him back in a few days in my own time. At which point he turned around and said he was going to end the call as I was f*****g boring him.... Charming... Despite the fact that I only said 5 sentences the whole time on the phone. clearly a scam can't find SEM in Colchester on the web glad I decided to stick to my guns and not allow a stranger in my house would have likely been robbed! Concerning thing he knows my name where did they get my data and as the firm name he provided I can't find I can't complain to TPS. I never normally speak to private withheld numbers but have had so many recently just wanted to answer to hopefully reduce the amount of calls.

If you get a call from SEM Colchester hang up and save 20mins of your life!
