PCN - Details Incorrect - HELP

Hi All,
My girlfriend parked in a parking bay in Tower Hamlets area and got a PCN saying she parked in a suspended bay. She left with the PCN without checking (as you do grrrr) but now we noticed that the PCN has the wrong location as where the offence took place (Its a main road and she was parked at the top end and PCN mentions the road name but in brackets describes the totally wrong part of the main road which is at least 700yrds away)
Does this make the PCN invalid?
We did appeal the PCN but they wrote back saying "whilst the location in brackets on the PCN may be in correct (not sure if they purposefully spaced the word "in correct"), however as this is not the actual location, but merely a description, this does not affect the PCN validity"
Are they right?

Is this a council PENALTY charge notice? If yes take this over to Pepipoo.

Thank you. I'll leave the question up on MSE also just in case someone here is an expert
Just been reading all the newbie info on MSE and wow.....wish i'd read this first before appealing.0 -
In some (but not all) cases incorrect detail on a Council Penalty Charge Notice can be reason to have it withdrawn (I'm not sure about the specifics of your case as I'm not familiar with the area, but I am talking generally). The problem that arises in these instances is that when you make the Council aware of what details are wrong, Council then has the opportunity to withdraw the notice and issue a new one with the correct details.New members, please refer to "sticky" threads that are alwasys "stuck" at the top of this forum0

That's simply not true. Councils cannot issue a corrected PCN..0 -

They haven't bothered correcting themselves on their reply to my first challenge simply said its not important as the PCN is still valid (wish I could upload a pic of the reply letter they sent)0 -
Let us know when you win, because you will with pepipoo's help! Please don't post there without pics of BOTH sides of the PCN.
BTW you have realised I hope, that the NEWBIES thread has nothing to do with Council tickets, that's only for private (stupid worthless fake) ones!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
