I thought someone once said that you can start listing before the cheap listing day so long as you fill in the bit asking for it to be listed on the day... is this true?

PS Sorry not to answer your question jasmineswhiskers... I've not experience so can't answer.

Yes you can do a delayed start but that does cost an extra 6p per item.

I knew there would be a cheap day this week, I'm on holiday again when the listings finish so won't be able to make use of it.

you can schedule listings with ebay, though there is a fee per item scheduled.

Personally I use Auctiva as it allows me to create listings, save them and schedule them, as well as providing lots of nice templates

you can also use turbo lister which is provided free from eBay. Look on the left of your myebay screen and click on 'download tools' near the bottom

If you select a scheduled listing it costs 6p however if you go in and take this off before the scheduled listing starts you get a refund so I always schedule mine well into the future and then go in on a 10p listing day and remove it when i want the auction to start!

woohoo - another 2 weeks of suppressed selling prices, and masses of tat to filter through.

The CLD's are becoming a joke - eBay are obviously desperate to increase sales, but all they are doing is increasing listings, saturating an already slow market and helping nobody really.

I had planned to list abround 500 dvd's over the next week, but if the site is going to be filled up with cheap listings, I'll wait until it settles down again.

A change of tact with the promotions would not go amiss - perhaps free gallery, reduced FVF for offering free postage, or something that improves the selling experience not just the buying experience.

A joke at serious sellers expense to boot.
Decreased visibility is an ongoing problem , some categories are now saturated with U S listings thanks to ebay's constant meddling.
Oh joy, yet another weekend with listings full of cr*p!
