Hello,

Hope someone can help. I am totally stumped by the pop ups I am getting that are coming from an APPIMAT site. Generally, saying that my CODEC is out of date if I am trying to download something, but also lots of pop ups. I have run MALWAREBITES and it got rid of loads of stuff apparently, but no change in the problem. Getting a bit desperate, can anyone please help me?:(

Sorry to say, it's malware or a virus....Run full Malwarebytes again. Full scan with your Anti-Virus also (which one do you have?).
Run CCleaner to make sure any residue that may be hanging around the cache etc, is gone.
It may be attacking the router rather than the machine.

Thanks for the advice.

I went back on the PC again last night and it didn't seem to have the problem (wonder if restarting it a couple of times helped?).

No problem, glad it's sorted. The restart probably finished off the Malwarbytes removal process.
