PPI - Ombudsman

Our credit card (Barclays) PPI complaint is with the Ombudsman, first of all they upheld it then Barclays argued it and wanted evidence of savings and employee benefits going back to 1995. We were unable to provide this so the Ombudsman wanted a rough estimate of our savings. The Ombudsman have now rejected our complaint, has anyone come across this before and give any advice?
Thank you

If the actual Ombudsman has rejected it then its over for you. If its just the adjudicator you could refer it to Ombudsmand for final decision.0

The firm is allowed to ask for evidence when you are saying you had something. You were unable to supply the evidence but gave a figure. Based on that figure, it appears that they feel you had a financial need.
Many complaints come down to financial need rather than the reasons of complaint. Your best bet is to ask the FOS why. We can only guess.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
