Connells/Wessex Group

My husband and I took out a mortgage with Connells estate agent four years ago and have been paying Wessex Group monthly ever since. Recently my husband mentioned to me that this could be PPI. As I am not fully aware of the PPI system I was wondering whether anyone could help? I have now cancelled the payments, was this a good ideas or not?

Why have you cancelled something without finding out first what it was and what it covered? You have probably cancelled your life cover or something similar. Phone the insurer and ask them what it was and if you want the cover see if they will reinstate it as otherwise it will probably cost you more to get another policyI am a Mortgage Adviser
