Fraudulent Paypal QikServe payment

Just wanted to see if this had happened to anyone else. I got an email from paypal about a payment to my account today. I thought it might be a fishing email scam to signed in directly through their website and there was a payment made today for £4.95 to a company called QikServe.
A bit of internet searching shows this seems to be a company linked to paypal where you can pay for drinks and food via an app at certain bars (as far as I can see). Here's the thing however I have only ever used paypal for ebay purchases, have never downloaded any such app and haven't made any purchases of any description today!
I have complain to paypal and waiting to hear back. Suggest others might wish to check their paypal accounts for similar payments, sure I can't be the only one. Not such if this if fraud or a technical screw up.

Now just had a second transaction for £200 go through. Called paypal, eventually go through to someone after a fair bit of voice recognition annoyance. Seems to be individual fraud on my account. Someone linked their mobile number to my account. Have now unlinked mobile number and changed password and they are investigating so hopefully they'll fully refund and it won't happen anymore.0

To have linked a mobile they must also have hacked your email, as you would have had to confirm the change via email.
That sounds like a security issue with your pc so go to the techie board and ask for advice about doing a deep clean, and then when that is complete change all your online passwords again.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
