If you only opened the account recently, I doubt that they're going to up it.

To be honest, I'd close the account. Your signature says you've got a Littlewoods account too, I'd just go and get a sub-prime credit card and try to build your credit that way.
Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.

Hi, I have a terrible credit rating too (declared myself bankrupt a few years ago) and couldn't even get a catalogue account until the bankruptcy came off my credit file after 6 years.

I got a freemans account in December to get a winter coat, it cost me £90 and I paid off £30 right away and the other payments have been the mimimum in order to avoid paying interest. I have £12 left to pay.
I also started with £100 to spend and now have £400.
    Hope that helps. xx

Takes a lot more than 4 months of paying a credit card off to build up a credit report.

Once you've made a couple of purchases they may be willing to up the limit.

  • Freemans accepted me in august and I started off at 200, I haven't been paying in full but I've been paying around £60 a month and so far every month since I've had it its increased by £100! Pretty chuffed considering I've had a 24 studio account for 19 months and my limit is still 305! :( Also I have a vanquis card all paid up to date for the past 9 months and haven't seen an increase from my initial 100 limit!

Freeman's like to see you paying off and also purchasing seems to have worked for me so far its one of my highest limits!

    Good luck :)
You have no rights until you know about them.:)
