Which way should I go?

Hi All
Can anyone advise me to the best route to take on claiming my bank charges back £1,410+ interest?
I have already sent the 2nd letter back to them saying I was not satisfied with their response and asking for a full response within 14 days or I would go to court, unfortunately, I have been a bit slow on the uptake and hadn't realised that it was 4 weeks since I sent the letter, I hadn't heard from them and I also hadn't noticed and not taken out my threat of going to court after the 14 days!!
I have just received a letter yesterday from them saying they are really sorry but are not in a position to respond to my complaint just yet but please be patient.
They have also recommended that I go to the FO and enclosed a leaflet about the FO. If it will cost them £360 to go through FO then why are they giving me this recommendation?
My problem is that I really can't afford to pay the court costs initially as am not earning a great deal at moment due to the weather but also am now having to use a compensation awarded to me to live on from a missold endowment which I was fortunate to win albeit through a company which I also have to pay yet.
I could do with this money very quick (if I win) to literally keep a roof over my childrens' and my head.
Please can anyone advise asap as I need to make a decision before I'm too late.
Thankyou and best regards.

You are in a bit of a dilemma then. You can either immediately file a court claim or use the FO (because the bank has invited you to do so, you don't have to wait the full 8 weeks). The problem is that the FO might take longer than a court claim and might not get you the whole money incl. interest back, whereas a court claim might - but then, it costs money you don't really have.Which bank is it? Some banks do make you an offer once the 8 weeks are up, although never for the full amount.Reclaimed thanks to this site:

Ah. They are a tough nut to crack. They wait till you file a claim before they act at all. Read Martin's article and his comparison of court versus FO, maybe that might help. I am sorry I don't have a definite answer on that one only that if you can't afford a court claim at all you will have to use the FO. http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/bank-chargesReclaimed thanks to this site:

I could just about manage to pay some court fees if i was guaranteed to win, but will have to find out how much they are for definite, basically I can't afford to lose any more money as i have financial problems partially due to Lloyds TSB charging so much!!
Ahh- life is such a bowl of roses....he he
Thanks for your advice will just have to make a decision and go for it although tend to go wrong way always!!0 -

Based on what you said you have in charges I would say it will be £120, mine was just less than that & thats what i had to pay.
