Does IGNORING PE still apply in Scotland? (thread split)

Hi I've read previous forums and was wondering if the 'ignore letters in Scotland' still apply?
I live and was fined in Scotland. I just received a letter of a fine to be paid since I stayed more than the time limit. They've taken pictures of my car entering and leaving. Would I be safe just ignoring the letters I receive? Or have the rules changed in Scotland?
Thank you very much for your kind help

You also read and agreed you would not hijack threads!
And this is the most current info you could hope for for both England and Scotland - So please save any questions for your own thread!0 -
The above posts have been split from Coupon-mad's sticky thread. Welcome to MSE0

#1 You weren't fined - you were issued with a speculative invoice.
#2 Yes - ignore in Scotland (provided you are the registered keeper of the vehicle).0
