Buying extra fixtures and fittings

Hi
I have had an offer accepted on a house and I'm at the stage of waiting for searches etc. to be completed.
I need some advice regarding the process of buying extra fixtures and fittings from the vendors i.e. not ones listed on the fixtures and fittings form which I've now received from my solicitor. The vendors have said they'd be willing to sell on to me e.g. some free-standing furniture and kitchen appliances. I don't anticipate the total to be more than £1000 and the stamp duty threshold isn't an issue.
My question is: At what point would it be best to go and discuss with the vendors which items I want, and does it then become a part of the house purchase contract? Or is it a separate deal done between me and the vendor?

Better to get other items added to the purchase contract !!

remember any item you buy from the vendor is secondhand ,and should be priced accordingly .0
