Hi
I had my boiler fixed by British Gas for one-off fee. The bill came to £200!!! The fees was fixed including parts and labour.
Are there any good + cheaper alternatives to get the boiler fixed if I ever have problems again?
Thanks in advance.

I was in a similar situation a few months ago. After reading British Gas small print I opted for the cheaper of three free quotes from local tradesmen. You could sign up a gas plan for the future for a monthly fee.0

Since you didn't say what the fault was and what was replaced, how can we know if £200 was a good deal or not?
As above, a local independent GSR RGI may be the cheaper option. No free lunch, and no free laptop

So the repair took the engineer between 30 mins and 2 hours, middle tier fixed price breakdown. You would have been pre-warned if it was likely to take over 30 mins. Was a part fitted?0

Yes a part was fitted.
Basically I'm after a comparison between the major companies so next time a problem happens I know which company is cheaper.
So like what do N-Power. EON etc charge please.SECRET OF SUCCESS IN LIFE:

Morning the_matrix
Just a quick heads up. We're no longer involved with boiler repairs and central heating care. We pulled out of this about a year ago.
Hope this saves you a bit of time if you were thinking of contacting us.
