UKPC and DRP Letters

Hi All ,
My daughter inadvertently parked in an empty car park space on an industrial estate in an unoccupied industrial unit at night .
The signs are not clear and most definitely unreadable at night as the site is not lit .
Unfortunately due to reading out of date advise , I advised her to ignore the letters incorrectly .
She has received to date the initial ticket , although the amount payable is not stated ( 7th march) and two letters from ukpc demanding £100 and now one from DRP demanding £160.00
Now i admit my advise was totally wrong before i get condemned but I'm reading conflicting advise on this forum , so could someone please point me in the right direction
As I'm aware there are various template letters on here but due to the time thats passed I'm unsure which to send if at all, perhaps i should be doing something else ?
Your help and advise would be much appreciated

it was incorrect , yes , totally incorrect
read the NEWBIES sticky thread at the top of the forum, tells you all you need to know , especially post #4
also use the search function to find dozens of similar threads where the same advise has been given out that you are looking for here0 -
Following the windscreen ticket (issued on 7/3/1`4) a notice to keeper (NtK) should have arrived no earlier than day 29 after the initial event and no later than day 56.
Given the initial event was 7th March and your daughter has received two letters from them plus it has already been passed to DRP they may have 1/ applied for registered keeper details too early for registered keeper liability to apply under POFA 2012,
2/ not allowed the registered keeper a full 28 days to submit an appeal (they normally do)
and you may still be in time to appeal so check the dates and contents of the first letter.
Even if the dates check out it may still be worth sending in an appeal from the registered keeper now to UKPC even if a little late.
See the template 1st appeal letter in the NEWBIES thread post #1
Other than trying to get an appeal accepted (with the aim of getting a POPLA code out of them - so that a second stage appeal to POPLA can be submitted) there is nothing else that can be done other than ignore.
UKPC don't tend to do court - so try the appeal and follow the advice in NEWBIES thread post #4 as Redx has suggested regarding debt collectors0 -
I disagree with RedX on this one, ignoring still works perfectly well with many PPCs, and has worked for every single person who has ever ignored UKPC.
Normally I would advise appealing to UKPC and then to POPLA, but if it has already passed to DR+ then you will be wasting your time trying to get a POPLA code out of them, therefore I would advise simply ignoring them.

As they have 6 years in which to take a claim, there is still a remote chance that they could try court, but your odds of winning the lottery are significantly higher. All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. Hi all
I am very confused I got a parking ticket on 3rd of March sent an appeal straight away As signs for parking were not visible the sign was on the other side of the building!!
Anyway I got no response to my appeal until yesterday when I opened a letter frm debt collecters plus to say I now owe 160 as I ignored the first two letters from Ukpc .
How do I prove I haven't received any letters ??
What do I do next??0 -
That's 4 Now!
You need to stop jumping onto other peoples threads.
It's rude and can be confusing to people trying to understand what post is for what person.

Thanks for all your input , I'm really confused now .
Ive sent off a letter to DR+ basically telling them to do one and also one of the template letters to ukpc stating no prominent signage , contracts etc etc so will see how it goes0 -
Confused about ignoring debt collectors? Everyone did it for years before POPLA/POFA existed!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Let me clarify things for you, IGNORE, IGNORE and the IGNORE some more. Simples!
The only thing not to ignore are court papers, and if you get those as a result of a UKPC ticket you'll be the first one, ever.....All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. Edmund Burke Irish orator, philosopher, & politician (1729 - 1797).0
