If by "original rejection letter sent to APCOA" you mean your 1st appeal - then no, there is no need to include it.

OK, thanks. It's in the post!

I've also edited ny drafts to amend the POPLA post code which I'd intially written in wrong, in case anyone's looking for a template.

    Cheers!

Have received a reply from POPLA saying they can't process the appeal as I didn't include the verification code. Rookie error. I'll be sending it off again, with the code included this time, this afternoon...

A POPLA form was included in the letter if I want to appeal. Should I use this form or write my own new letter to POPLA?

Are you saying that APCOA didn't even bother to fill in the verification code on to the form they sent you? I seriously HATE PPCs, they are cowboys and deserve to be xxxx (deleted before the forum team do!).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Unfortunately not - On the form I was sent (included with the rejection letter) there is 10 digit number at the bottom which I think is my POPLA code - although it is in a box titled PCN Number rather than Verification Code or anything like that. There is another box higher up the form also called PCN Number with my actual PCN... However I wrote the letter and sent it straight to them, and didn't bother to fill the form in as well.

I've just checked the POPLA Code Checker on Parking Cowboys and my 28-day deadline passed on Saturday - I was going to send the letter off again today, but am wondering now whether to fill the form in online and get it done as quickly as possible. Obviously I'm nervous they'll reject it as I've missed the deadline, although presumably they wouldn't've processed anything on Saturday but I should've got it in before then anyway.

    :(

online , asap , dont pass go , dont collect £200

the checking of this verification number should have been done weeks ago, plus its always better to appeal online and attach any documents to your appeal, then snail mail as a backup , but NEVER miss the 28 day deadline

maybe you should add that your postal appeal was rejected due to missing verification code and ask the lead adjudicator to accept it due to this error

Have submitted it online, with 'what I believe to be the verification code' and stated the initial rejection due to the error.

    Thanks, fingers crossed...

Good news - just received the following from POPLA:

The Operator has informed us that they have cancelled parking charge notice number FCCXXXXXXXX, issued in respect of a vehicle with the registration mark X000XXX .

Your appeal has therefore been allowed by order of the Lead Adjudicator.
You are not liable for the parking charge and, where appropriate, any amounts already paid in respect of this parking charge notice will be refunded by the Operator.

Feels like a 'copout' from APCOA, so I can't really see what the appeal would have specifically been won on, but never mind that!

Thanks for everyone's help, much appreciated. Going to try and edit the thread title to suit.

    Cheers!

GPEOL every time. However, APCOA probably cancelled it 'cos they didn't want to risk PoPLA adjudicating on the "relevant land" question for a railway car park.
