Does this Western digital portable drive have only 12 mths guarantee?

Hi folks,


I'm on the lookout for a 2TB portable drive and on recommendations from on here and elsewhere I have seen this one on amazon, £5 cheaper than at currys or argos. However it does say at bottom of amazon page only 12 mths warranty, whereas at currys its three years.

Just wondering what is the story here as regards the warranty, is it really only 12 mths?

Simply a case that if it develops a problem or fails within the first 12 months the Amazon seller will replace it. After 12 months you deal direct with Western Digital via their website. It's always worth registering your new hard drive on the Western Digital website.
