When you fill in the Santander 123 application you are asked as to what you require the account for:

    e.g.
    Main Account?
    Secondary Account?
    Paying Bills?

If you choose, say 'Paying Bills', then I guess this is good reason as to why you might need yet another '123' account for one of the other reasons.

Hi all, could someone please help and verify that If I have a sole one and a joint one , both funded with 5k each, both have 2 DD set up on each a/c and both pay in £500/month externally, will I still earn 3% interest on the sole and joint a/c?

Hope so nanjo, that's the reason I am opening a sole one to go with my joint.Don't forget each one needs to have £2 per month paid in.

    Yes.

No, each needs £500 paid in (as per nanjo's post), the £2 is the monthly charge taken out of each account.

My wife has 2 accounts which she opened a few months ago(when they allowed you to have 2). Can she have a joint one with me also? I can`t find any reference to this scenario on their website. Thanks

I think you can have one joint and one personal each between you,but cannot be certain.
