Conservatory Quote

Options
Hi All.
Looking at replacing our conservatory. It is roughly 3.2m by 3.2m and has a brick base that is in good condition (height probably 0.6m). We would like to brick up one side of it as it has next doors extension on that side so not worhwhile putting glass there but the rest of it standard - french doors/new roof etc
We got a quote around the £8k mark -
We are in the Manchester area. Is this a reasonable ball park figure?
Thanks

What sort of roof is that with, glass or polycarb? Any electrics/heating needed?

Ours is pretty much the same size, but was from scratch and included electrics and electric underfloor heating as well as plastering. Was around £14k.

You will need to check that the foundations put in for the original build with dwarf wall will take the weight of a full height brick wall.

Thanks both - Quoted for a glass roof. Electrics already in place as we have that in there currently and we just need a radiator, which is not quoted.

    ^this.

Our conservatory footing is very shallow concrete/1 breeze block. Not really sufficient for building a wall on.

Our builder suggester timber construction - which would be lighter and actually better insulated than the brick equivalent.
