I have tried to do a system restore on my computer and now its stuck on "restoring the registry" .How can I get out of this as its been running for quite a while

    its taken almost 12 hrs ! to restore but even though it is connected to the internet some apps and windows are saying it isn't so wont open/work properly.


    Any ideas how to sort windows out?

    SORTED -had to do a lenovo restore after the very lenghty system restore.

    That just sounds like you've restored it to factory settings (so lost all updates in the meantime).

    there wasnt much data on it to loose, im not bothered whats been lost all photos are on the laptop any thing else on this computer wasnt that important.
    Its working fine now though so im happy.
