I would hazard a guess at a spoon with slots in it

Yes. It's a large long-handled spoon with slots, used for spooning things out of a liquid when you don't want to throw the liquid away, or things out of oil, so that the oil drains through as you spoon the things out.

For baking - a mixing bowl and a wooden spoon for beating the mixture. Or you can use an electric mixer. An egg whisk is also handy.
For pies, scones and biscuits you might want a rolling pin and a set of cutters.
I've got to warn you though, home baking doesn't really help withlosing weight, because everything comes out so yummy, it's really difficult to resist.

Would love to try some of his things but the amount of oil he uses

Found loads of things on the bad good food site :D

Just reduce it. You were advised on another thread that you can make adjustments and just use recipes as a guide. MOF is a great start for someone like you two. Stop making silly excuses.

Lol, it depends on what you cook. Making healthy dinners with lots of veg is one thing. Making cakes is another. Trust me,I speak from experience.

I have a great set of scales that weigh ml, fl oz as well as lbs, grams, oz.
They cost about £12 but are the best scales I have ever had. I would never be without them :) It means I don't have to get out a measuring jug, I just pour the liquid into the bowl instead :)
