UKPC Parking charge (Aussie in southampton)

Hi just after a bit f advice, got a ticket tonight while at the catholic church on the avenue in Southampton.
Myself and my girlfriend park in the same area for the last couple of years and never a ticket. Tonight we got one

'Parking in a permit area without displaying a valid permit'

Do i ignore these?
I have had a PCN from westquey shopping center and ignored it never to be heard from again.
I'm in the UK on a temp visa and my girlfriend is Irish so we are not British citizens either so how far can they really get?

UPKC ( Uk Parking Control LTD)

On entry to the church car park it was full so we parked on the side as always, as do a number of other cars every week.
In this area there are no signs as to not to park, nor signs on entry to the church driveway indicating. Only further down where the flats are located. And it is permit holders only so we never park in their parks or past the church park area.

Now there are a group of apartments further down where a sign is located but is not visible on entry or where we parked, it in fact faces backwards after the church car park.

So in theory i did not park in a controlled area?

Please help as its my gf's car, registered/taxed in her name and she my kill me!

Any way of getting some photos up here?

Send the template appeal in the NEWBIES thread straight away, changing 'I am the registered keeper' to 'I am the driver' instead. Then you will have hooked the appeal reply to come to you (instead of your gf) and you can then win at POPLA (also covered in the NEWBIES thread).

No-one pays these but as we win 100% of cases at POPLA, the advice is now to appeal (not ignore). The NEWBIES sticky near the top of this forum explains all, I hope.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Ive sent them a pm, advised the would be no cost for handling this ticket as its a windscreen ticket, we trying out something new with our service with regards to windscreen tickets.

Have advised that by us doing the wind screen ticket appeal for them the is no risk and absolutely no charge what so ever.

We do of course indemnify you.

Why? She was with you so is equally culpable (for this fake, unenforceable PCN). Or was this your other girlfriend? ;):D

try telling some of parking eye victims at court or the lady who lost to Premier park the other day that the parking charge is unenforceable.

Up to you mate if you bother with the above offer or not - it is offered to you completely free as stated a new aspect is being trialled and there is NO risk to yourself or your gf of any recourse whatsoever.

btw I am the other half to the business mentioned above. :)

It's a genuine offer by some very experienced people, they have been doing this for a very long time. This is a complete no brainer as there is no risk or work for you.
