I'm going for this over Sky Sports as it has 50% of Premiership Football Sky has, but also Dutch, Portuguese, French and German footie amongst others.
£9.99 no contract apart from 1 months notice to cancel0 -
doing same for torquay united, how the mighty have fallen!! we've got 4 games on already, gutted about 2 of em as i live in sheffield, burton and york are two that i can get to very easily and would've been cracking day out with a few beers to boot, now on monday and tuesday nights! can see why all the big boys have been moaning all these years now??
anyway, i heard that the YB/CB deal is a 12month thing, depending on which telephone op you get its either plain sailing or a right pain in the bum. just say you had a leaflet with bank or card statement, refuse to give out numbers over phone, and say you're doing this sub with another card, everyone had more than one these days. however some jobsworths have been asking for a ref number off statements, and when people havent been able to provide them they've asked them to call back when they've got one!! all for £8 x 2!! they also may waive the £10 connection fee on this deal too
and remember that you need a CAM card too, which setanta will sell you for £29.99
broadband is other option at £7.99 a month
or go down the p2p route, google football4less or freefootball not so reliable but free0 -
According to the Setanta website, Instore/Poundstretcher shops are selling their freeview box with card/connection. Went to my local shop today and they looked blankly at me. Anyone know if they have sold them/are going to sell them and how much?
Just to clear something up, you don't need top-up-tv to get Setanta sports. You just need a freeview box with a card slot, including the old on/itv digital boxes. Then you just phone Setanta (number found on their website), they send you a card and connect you. On freeview you only get one channel with a mixture of sports.0 -
Setanta is going to be free to all Virgin Media customers from the 26th July on the XL tv package. Just thought that I would mention it - I know that it is not freeview.0

If you decide to subscribe to Setanta Sports, DO IT ON DIRECT DEBIT, NOT CREDIT CARD. You can stop DD easily if you wish to cancel. They have some VERY unpleasant people working for them, and telling porkie pies seems to be part of their training programme.0

Following John-Kents post of 14/7 I telephoned Setanta to ask for reduction from £15 to £9-99 I was told that this would be done but may not take effect until August ie by then I will have paid 3x£5 and 1x£15. I telephoned today to confirm that the next payment would be £9.99 was told by a very abrupt person that I was on a 12 month contract and there was nothing I could do until next April ie at the end of the 12 months. Has anyone else had the same experience. I would welcome any comments/ suggestions.

I have just subscribed to Setanta via Virginmedia. I currently pay around £10 a month for my phone package and with this get a number of freeview channels (which is included in the £10 phone package) with the Setantat package costing me an additional £8 a month which I think is a pretty good deal.0
