Hi all
I have got small 'round backed' bugs with around three stripes across their backs in the bedroom. They are small ( husband says around 5 mm) and I have seen them on the headboard, on the tablecloth of my round bedroom table and one climbing up the mattress on the OUTSIDE.
We have googled and think they are bedbugs. Steps we have taken to eradicate are......washing ALL bedding at 80degrees, hoovering all parts of bed mattress headboard and area around and under bed including seams. Unfortunately found more again today and been getting bitten again over last 2 nights. How do we find out if they are bedbugs and what is needed to get rid of them. They appear to only be in one bedroom. Thanks for any advice you can offer.

Might be best calling in the experts.
How sure are you it's bed bugs? Have you had new furniture (second hand) or been away?0 -
Try your local council for pest control, very good value round my way. £30 for house treat ment for fleas.0

That is well worth a check, just checked my local council and for domestic properties they will treat bed bugs, rats and cockroaches free!0

They do sound like bedbugs. There are pictures here, http://www.rentokil.co.uk/bed-bugs/cimex-lectularius/ plus advice about how to treat them.
I beleive that bedbugs can be really hard to get rid of, so it is likely to be worth getting a professional pest controller in (preferably before they spread outside the one room they are in!)All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0
