I have been with sky for quite a few years for my phone, tv and broadband and it is costing me a fortune. I am now looking at changing and on comparison sites talk talk is coming up as the cheapest option.
Can anyone give me some feedback if they are currently with talk talk as no-one I know is and i am wary about changing as it is an 18month contract with talk talk.
Also what is the broadband speed like, i only use the internet for browsing and using facebook so doesn't have to be very fast but reasonably fast will be good.
Also when i do change over how do i go about doing it, do i just take out a contract with talk talk then ring sky and cancel as i would like to keep my current telephone number.
Thanks in advance.

Unlikely that you can switch Sky LLU to TT LLU, so a new line provision will probably be required. You would obtain your MAC from Sky and give that to TT. But TT are cheap for a reason, as you will find out if you ever have billing or tech issues. Do a forum search.
You'd do much better to cut a retention deal with Sky, assuming that you are out of minimum term, just make sure that you speak to retentions, not to tier 1 CS.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
I was so irate with Talk Talk by the time I finally left them that I now follow their door to door sales people down the street telling neighbours to avoid them - that's really NOT me, so they got it very wrong indeed about four times in as many months.
I also have a few friends with them and not one has a good word for them if anything goes wrong.
Sky will cut your deal, but you may well need to be put through to the cancellations department before you get anything worthwhile so stick to your guns.If you want proper advice, please consult a legal professional. I am not one! Thanks.0 -
I transferred to Talk Talk, complete nightmare, only went through with it because they had my telephone number! Wouldn't trust them as far as I can throw them. No one in customer services is capable of making any difference/decision. In fact the only knowledgeable people in the whole company are in sales. As previous post I want to stop people in the street and tell them not to sign. As for the saving it cost me more in telephone calls and time in complaining than I will save in the next 12 months.....SCP # 034

Thanks for all the replies, I think that has cleared it up for me and it seems talk talk are a no go, I will just shop around. I am out of the 12 month contract with sky so my options are open. Thanks again0
