Parking ticket for parking in a private car park - advice please

Hi, I am new to this, but hope you can help. I received a ''parking ticket" for parking in an owners parking bay without a permit but with the permission of the owner who was away from the property. The car park is a residents car park and I was contracted to do some redecoration work to the property. I left a note in my windscreen explaining I was working in the property. There were no visitors bay's available (4 bays for 50 properties).
Do I have to appeal before the 14 days are up or do I wait for the NTK? And then send the appeals letter in the newbies thread?
Your help would be much appreciated as this seems to differ from other posts where there is no charge to park in this car park as it is a gated community. Thanks in advance.

You are in the newbies thread, so this post will be split away shortly. Anyway if you are not the registered keeper then appeal providing this is in England or Wales. But before you do that who is the parking company ?When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

So appeal when you get the NtK through the post, it must be with you in between days 29-56 after ticketing. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

Or send the template appeal from the NEWBIES thread now. Armtrac are not a nice bunch and rather than waiting you may prefer to send the template appeal now to kick things off. You'll easily beat them at POPLA anyway.
Read the NEWBIES sticky where the first appeal template is there for you to copy. No need to amend it - this isn't won on 'what happened'. IT WILL BE WON though.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
