Owed money

Not sure if I am on right forum, so apologies if I'm in wrong place.

I lent some money to a friend , who didn't keep up with payments

I opened up a case with MCOL, still no monies came, I escalated the claim , and judgement was entered on the 3rd of April, and requested that I was paid in instalments of £100 pm.
Still no money has been paid to me. Just wondering what my next course of action should be.
Total inc fees is £410. I'm not sure how much time should pass from when judgement is entered for when I should have expected an instalment.
She has contacted me via Facebook to give me a load of grief mind you, said she was gonna pay £20 pm and a load of abuse went with it.
This loan is from bloody June 2012, she paid back monthly until dec 2012, then kept on making excuses, illness, lack of work etc. then blocked me on Facebook totally!! I've spoken to her on the phone, written to her etc, still more promises and excuses, but no money, so took action against her.
What should I do now?

Go back to the Clerk of the Court that decreed the payment to you and ask them.

You might have to come to terms with the fact you can't get blood out of a stone. Your debtor may argue that they can't afford to pay you the money, and there might be nothing the law can do to help you getting back a few hundred quid. Small time criminals thrive on this sort of thing.

It's a hard lesson to learn but friendships often end when it comes to money. Put her behind yourself, take her off your Facebook, don't lend any cash to anyone in future. There will always be small-time thieves who get a few hundred pounds from friends, and never have any intention to pay the money back.

Even if she is unemployed, she does have some assets like PC, TV, car(?) etc. What's wrong with resorting to bailiffs?

Bayliffs do not have any legal powers to retrieve all the sums owed to you. Criminals know and exploit this.

Bailiffs. It's the only way you'll see your money - I had to take a similar track a few years ago and got paid pronto!

Some will say well if your friend has no assets what can bailiffs do. But, everyone has assets of some kind and bailiffs don't give up easily.

Remember, you are the victim here. It's about equalling the score.
Never argue with an idiot. Especially not this idiot because I'm always right anyway.

Don't you need proof for that?

Otherwise I could say that innovate owes me £1,000,000 and ask them to knock on his door ?

The OP has court judgement. What other proofs are needed?
  • Should I contact MCOL then?
What I was asking was when I should expect payments to start from ? Do I have to wait a certain amount of time from when judgement was made against her?

Unfortunately was a victim of a sob story it seems, and tbh can't afford to escalate this any further I don't think, unless I can be guaranteed the monies owed to be paid back .

I have no written proof of loan, apart from messages on Facebook .... Could kick myself , was always brought up to be nor a lender or borrower be

Should I try contacting her again personally?

How much does it cost to take things further, and what does it entail?

    £410?

Get on with your life. Painful lesson learned.

That's what I'd do at this stage.
