    I agree that this is despicable.

    Unfortunately, to add insult to injury, your godparents will probably find that in a few month's time, the gravel on their drive will start breaking up.

    As already suggested, do contact the police and Trading Standards - it's too late for your family but it may stop it happening to someone else.
