Springy floors upstairs!

Our floors upstairs move when walked on. House is 1960s ex council house. We have looked and can see the joists move somewhat where they sit on the wall where they end. The main problem is the 2 largest bedrooms where the span is 3m. The joists are approx 2 x 6/7" and are spaced quit far apart. We do intend at some point on redoing the living room ceiling (which is directly below the biggest bedroom) and we will be tearing down the ceiling and putting new plaster board up in the living rm. This will give us a good opportunity to be able to try to resolve the problem. What is the best way to fix this?
Please help! Thanks in advance

I would get a couple of acrow props and a length of ,say , 3"x3" timber and jack up several joists or all of them together ( rather than doing one at a time and trying to keep them aligned individually) and tightly pack them underneath with pieces of natural slate.Forgotten but not gone.0

that's based on 400mm centres if they are further apart the span decreases, are you sure a wall hasn't been removed downstairs ?I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

No, no wall has been removed downstairs under the bedroom (in the lounge). The noise is driving me insane - you can hear the joists move downstairs0

Move the bedrooms downstairs and put the lounge upstairs. Dining kitchen can remain below.
(Yes, yes, I know. Not very helpful to you - but a serious option if just moving into a new place and haven't started.)0
