Hi. We got some windows and door fitted last week. The fitter works for Fensa approved company. He has done a great job. However, I have been worried sick the last few days as he only gave mea delivery note and said that was for the guarantee. Also he did not mention Fensa certificate. He slso wanted cash. I gave him some cash but wrote cheque for the rest. He asked me to put it in wife's name to avoid paying tax. Not sure what to do as need Fensa cert and guarantee. Not happy. I would have been happier to pay a bit more to put it on the books. I chose the fitter as builder we hired recommended him. He fitted door and window in kitchen last year. He said I would get certificate but I never did. Obviously we have been a bit naive. Need advice on what to do.

The Fensa certificate comes direct from Fensa so can take a while to arrive. You can also check on the Fensa website if the fitter is registered with them0
