Hi I've got a lenovo windows laptop and I'm trying to set up my printer which insists it's offline even though it says it's connected to my hub and is switched on. I m trying to get used to it but I don't know how to,access the printer on it. Like in windows 7 where it's control panel, devices etc . Can anyone help please.

Right click on your desktop, select personalise, change desktop icons (top left ), tick control panel- My Computer comes in handy too, apply, ok.

Control panel icon will now be on your desktop and you can navigate to Printers from there.

I'd also recommend making sure you have a Windows 8 driver for your printer- check the manufacturer website.

Yes I presumed I'd downloaded the driver but does it show as an app because I can t find it. Printer says it's offline but it's not

I'm afraid I know next to nothing about wireless printers, but I second my suggestion of going onto the manufacturers website and looking for a Win8 driver, download and install it.
