Amazon

Just a post for a change in praise of a company we bought an Espresso coffee machine from them last year costing just under £170, last week my wife noticed a small pool of water under it, thinking she may have spilt it she wiped it up and thought no more about it, next morning we noticed another pool, on checking the machine we found water dripping from one corner underneath it.

A quick search produced a receipt and it was just over eleven months old, contacted Amazon expecting a repair or possibly a contribution to a replacement as we had had good use of it for a period.

Amazon rep. stated they no longer stock that model and offered a full refund plus a label for free return of the faulty item.

Two days later the full amount credited back into our account before they had even received the item back.

Amazon is a great company to deal with. Shame a well known electronics chain is still terrible when it comes to CS.
  • Yeah, I was pretty impressed with Amazon CS a couple of weeks ago too. Had a toddler bed delivered. Part of the frame was split. Called them up on a Wednesday night. That Friday a courier delivered a new one and picked up the old one. Sorted. Keep that sort of CS up Amazon and you will keep your customers.

Amazon, despite their size or probably because of it, do have one of the better reputations for handling customer returns and faulty items.

I had similar experience. Had a steam mop which was just over two years old. Only been used maximum of dozen times when it packed up. Phoned to ask if there was anything they could do and received a full refund. Was not expecting it but very impressed.
  • Amazon have amazing customer service, any time I've ever contacted them they have gone above and beyond. Wouldn't hesitate to buy anything from them
