Searching for a specific filename/url

Hi All - many thanks for the hints - although I can't find any other versions of my pictures
- not even my original!!!!
I can't prove one way or another if they're being lifted and certainly understand if they've been renamed I haven't a hope - I was initially just curious and this has lead me to want to understand why I can't search and find a specific jpg image - so all a bit of an excercise anyway.
For those super-sleuths who want to prove me wrong - where is the following image????
hillav1_big.jpg
Cheers and thanks again
Russ
You'd need to post the image itself if possible so that people can try a reverse image search as that has a much better chance of finding it as there's a good chance anyone reusing the image would have a different filename for it.

My statcounter showed me that someone looked at every picture on the website - no proof but not happened before.
Like I said I'm not concerned about it.. much... but am now more curious than ever as to how to 'find' specific files!!
Cheers
Russ
It'll be a spider - every page and asset on my simple, largely static site is spidered regularly. You could add a robots.txt directive asking them not to, but it's unlikely to be anything to worry about just yet anyway, just a part of the plumbing of the internet.0 -

No, I meant the filename itself. I appreciate that it's hard to get the picture to display without referring to it in the source, what I was getting at is that if the OP searches for "CIMG0198.JPG" for example, it's unlikely a standard search would find that text unless his page contains that text in the displayable content as well as the page source. Like searching for "walletmasthead.png" probably won't bring MSE up, even though it's one of the images used on this page.0 -

I tried it.
It doesn't even bring up this thread (yet, but it will eventually once it is re-indexed). Just two links relating to Google Wallet0 -
I tried it too, before I risked posting that. :-)
That's exactly what I mean though - it will eventually index this thread, find it in visible text (where I talked about it and you quoted me) and return it for searches, but it won't return all the other threads and board pages that also use the same graphic.0
