Evening everyone
HH – gorgeous babies x
We got back from being away just after lunch, we had a great time, although the weather has been very changeable all weekend.
When we arrived on Friday, we just got set up and then walked down to the train station bought the travel cards for Saturday and bought DH a nice baguette and I had a ginger bread man for lunch when we got back to the site. (I had made a bowl of salad which was safely already in the fridge) so we just chilled with the food and a bottle of chilled Chardonnay. I’d bought a 2 dine for £10 meal for Friday night so another nice easy meal, which we both enjoyed.
We went to bed early (get your minds out of the gutter!) as we needed to be at the station early to catch the train, as once we’d arrived we didn’t know when DH needed to be as the meetings are now being held at a new venue. We had to go to a different station and then walk the last part. We found it without any difficulty and a lovely little cafe on the opposite side of the road about 50 yards away – so went into there for a coffee before meeting our friends, menfolk went to their meeting – us girls hit the shops. We were really lucky and had no rain until after we’d stopped for lunch in a pub – coffee/tea stops and pub lunch is a most on our days out! They were both looking for dresses for “do’s” they’ve got but neither found an outfit. I did buy a lipstick – it’s unusual for me to go to that amount of shops and not buy – but I bought some new clothes last weekend and don’t really need anything more at the moment, so my OS head kicked in and I just enjoyed wandering around the shops. We headed back to meet the menfolk and went to the cafe nearby for coffee and to wait for them, we’d only been in there 10 mins or so and they came across. We all then decided that we’d have to find a pub before everyone went their separate ways – 1 couple we’ll meet again in a couple of weeks but the others we won’t see them again until July, so is always good to catch up. We all have such a good laugh. We’ve got a big meeting to go to in October and we’re all going to stay in a nice hotel for a couple of nights – it’s looking likely that we’ll be going somewhere with a spa etc, so really looking forward to that.
Getting a bit fed up of the rain now, it has just stopped here but everywhere is completely drenched and waterlogged, forecast is for more tomorrow – deep joy! It does look slightly better for Tuesday.
Keep safe and well x

Well I'm all partied out and ready for a rest.
It was nice to see the great grandmas today and the food went down well. Just enough lamb left for a curry tomorrow or Tuesday
Hubby and I are tired out so he's got the golf on and I'm having a surf on the laptop. Looking forward to a very quiet day tomorrow.

Will be in bed early tonight for sure.
The weather is due to get better this week, fingers crossed
