My daughter has just done some kind of dance/performance thing for her degree finals. She posted a video of this on YouTube so her Mum could take a look.
Within 20 minutes it was taken down for copyright reasons, presumably because of the music soundtrack.
Now, last time I looked, there were literally millions of music videos, complete albums, dodgy covers by amateur guitar players, entire films and countless episodes of TV series left completely unscathed.
Yet hers was removed.

You can post videos on Facebook without anyone doing anything.
Perhaps she could do that?
LinYou can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.0 -
Someone reported it. Move on."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

Reported what?

you need to put in a disclaimer in the description stating that you do not own the copyright blah de blah blah of the music etc0

Might not have been someone reporting it. They have automated detection software.0 -
What has been bypassed, and how does anyone know anything has been reported?
Just curious as all looks as usual to me....:)

there is a detector on mse which detects when swearwords are placed in a post and prevents the post from going online. the OP has managed to do something to bypass the swear filter, which must have taken time and effort.
the reference to something being reported is on youtube - eg someone has reported the video for being in breach of copyright, presumably in relation to the music being used in the video.

Seems an extreme reaction on the part of the OP."'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life

If your daughter is intending to work in the performing arts industry, then she really needs to learn about copyright.
If she doesn't, then the next time she could find herself on the wrong end of a very expensive lawsuit. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0
