And if there was a bengal tiger next to that spot? Land mine? Conitnue to park cos its allocated:rotfl:
Of course, but take steps to eliminate the Bengal tiger, and to get the landmine removed.
What's with the whole "You can't make use of your property because of someone else's negligence so don't use it" mentality?
A tree overhung my designated spot at work and dripped foul ichor onto my car.
The tree mysteriously suffered the loss of all the overhanging branches, must have been insect damage :eek:I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

Its more of a "you was aware of the problem and remedied it by utilising that well known gate restraining impact absorbing immovable device; the traffic cone and then complain when it didnt quite work" mentality.
Op id go down the small claims route, got legal assistance on your insurance?0 -

A Bengal Tiger and a landmine would almost certainly cancel each other out in short order. The RSPCA might not like it much, though.0

This gate needs to be made safe asap. This time it struck a car door. The next it could be a person.
I suggest OP reports it to local council asap as an urgent health and safety issue. As it is a recent development council should also be ensuring any planning conditions re the gate have been complied with or indeed if any planning permission for such a large gate to swing over others property was ever granted.
Op has every right to expect damage caused by the gate to be made good by property owner and also every right to continue to use their allocated parking without hindrance or intereference by neighbours or others.0 -

I don't think we know whether the parking space IS the OP's property or simply an available space on a public road that he parks on.Of course, but take steps to eliminate the Bengal tiger, and to get the landmine removed.

Okay-- I think we can safely say the spot is not merely 'an available space on a public road' and we can assume the spot is an allocated parking space within a designated Parking area for residents. That is my one and only designated parking area.I moved here before the business opened and was allocated this one and only space then, not through my choice.0
