I am changing my energy supplier from British Gas to another supplier. This evening I got a phone call from British Gas wanting to know why I wanted to change. I responded I was doing it on Martin Lewis' advice and he then tried to persuade me not to change. Finally, he said 'you have new smart meters and you may lose them if you change and that will cause interference'. I considered that to be a threat. I would like to draw this to the attention of Martin Lewis and all other readers. My response was that I would see what happened. I have already cancelled my Homecare with British Gas because they stated my system needed a power flush and wanted to charge me over £800 + VAT. I refused and after that decided there was no point in having my central heating covered by Homecare. Does anyone know how I can get Martin Lewis to look into the fact that British Gas threaten people if they attempt to change suppliers?0
