I'd be interested to know what length of dates they put on eggs from when they're laid. It's years since I bought any.
I have kept eggs for a month after they've been laid and they've been fine. Some people say 6 weeks but I've never had any that have been around that long.
I also don't keep my eggs in the fridge, never have. I don't know if refrigerating them prolongs the freshness or not?

Have never seen the point in this when they are sat on supermarket shelves if they were meant to be kept in the fridge surely the shops would keep them there

That's my thinking exactly. But then why do fridges have egg holders? :cool:
