If you like Scandinavian crime fiction, I can wholeheartedly recommend any and all books by Jo Nesbo, especially the Harry Hole detective series. Beautifully written (and in places horrific) stuff.

More in the Scandawegian cold 'n' bleak but beautifully written genre
Camilla Lackberg, Asa Larrson (female main character), Hakan Nesser, Michael Ridpath

And similar, though set in Canada, is the crime fiction of Kathy Reichs, a practising forensic anthropologist (also producer on TV series 'Bones') - the main character is a fictionalised version of herself. Fast-paced but very gruesome in parts.

The only reason I haven't replaced my undies is because I can't find any the same. :(

Mine are made of a thick, strong material. Everything these days are ultra thin and wouldn't last me 5 minutes.

A bit like your shoes then. :rotfl::rotfl:

Trust me, they just wouldn't last 5 minutes. You've been around long enough to see what I can do to a pair of shoes in a couple of weeks.

It's easier to get into than Stieg Larsson. I'd start with The Snowman if you do decide to :)

Oh I enjoyed the The girl with the dragon tattoo trilogy on paper and on film :)
