I checked the temperature in my mini plastic greenhouse a couple of days ago after it had full sun. It was 55 degrees C :eek: I then decided to open it and had to stand back :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I mastered the router :D I made a lovely wooden box and signs i.e. the house name and labels for my veg patch :)

Doing letters helps build confidence in controlling the router.

    Enjoy

I would love a router, but then I would have to keep buying wood

Well despite everything Ive managed to have a reasonable day. I have a new toy
A router :D I bought it for my OH a few weeks back. I thought it might keep him amused but it hadn't been out the box, so I decided to get it out. Oh my.....it's absolutely fab! I'm trying to make a box (for practise) that has nothing holding it together. No screws, no nails, no glue. Just perfectly executed joints :D Then when I get the hang of it. I'm going to make a table.

We have decided he needs at least a few nights in hospital, so he'll probably be going there at nights until the end of the week. Half term next week so that makes life much easier.

Hope everyone has had a good day :)

Time to read some books to little monster:eek::eek::eek:

It's so good to hear of a dad reading to his children. There are lots of studies showing how important this is, e.g. 'Too many parents failing to read to their children' http://www.telegraph.co.uk/education/educationnews/7811961/Too-many-parents-failing-to-read-to-their-children.html

Just in case you'd like some recommendations for good books for children, these websites are great for ideas:

    http://www.lovereading4kids.co.uk/
    http://booksforkeeps.co.uk/

Finally, when buying books, I always use http://www.bookbutler.co.uk/ (a price comparison site that helps you find the best price for any book)

I get my wood from charity shops  Usually you can get solid hard wood bits of furniture relatively cheap, I just strip them back to the bare wood dismantle them and recut for the size I need. I have a stack of wood in the shed.
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.
